For Custom Donations  >

  • Where does the money go?
The Swaliga Foundation is receiving donations on behalf of Swaliga Africa. Your donation goes towards creating jobs and skills training programs for youth in South Africa, as well as Free STEAM education programs for youth in the USA.
  • Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes! The Swaliga Foundation is a federally recognized 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. You will recieve a thank you letter for your donation which includes our EIN #: 46-2568999 to use for tax purposes.
  • What does a "STEAM Club" do exactly?"
Imagine if your school had a basketball team, mixed with a Science Club, mixed with Swaliga. Every week Club members get hands on learning, training and certifications in the latest tech, prizes, swag, food and so much more. Youth do all of this while becoming leaders in their community.
  • Where does the name "Swaliga" come from?"
The name "Swaliga" is inspired by the original tribal name of the island of St. Maarten, "Soualiga". "Swaliga" speaks to the "passion" of the people.
  • Is this a one-time donation?
Yes each package is for a one time payment except for the "Flame Keeper" plan which is $5 per month. Regardless of type, all plans list the "duration" as "until canceled". Even if you decide to do a custom donation and select a different amount, rest assured, the amount and duration are up to you depending on which package you choose.
  • Why should I donate to South Africa?
Your donation will instantly create a global impact that affects both youth and families in South Africa as well as the USA. South Africa is the most industrialized nation on the continent, and will be a key part of reconnecting the African diaspora through education, trade and culture.
